Go Back to School in Style

Friday 23rd, August 2013 / 12:56

Are you ready to head back to school? I know you might have the summer blues but, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We will show you some back to school style with a twist of summer essence to bring along with you!

Fall is a great season because I honestly think it’s the perfect weather for just about any outfit. What I love most about the Fall season is playing around with layers. Layering is a great way to play around with a selection of different patterns, colours, and textures that add depth to your ensembles as well as showcasing your personality in what you choose to layer. Here I featured some ideas for back to school that are not only comfortable and stylish but how you can wear them day-to-day while still keeping your look fresh.

Monday

Can any outfit go wrong with boyfriend jeans? I don’t think so. Let’s start off Monday comfy with a little twist of a tom boy summer look into it. For warmer days you can wear just the crop top with the boyfriend jeans and call it a day. However, to make this outfit cool weather friendly for the Fall season, we added a light jacket to add some colour  and keep you warm. Choosing  a flat shoe like these oxfords make it comfy and convenient to walk to and from each class.

Tuesday

Can’t give up those distressed shorts you’ve worn all summer? What if we said you didn’t have to? On the warmer days in the fall, throw on those distressed shorts and dress warmer on top with a boyfriend shirt and a blazer. You don’t want to be walking around campus with uncomfortable shoes, that’s why these combat boots are the way to go to ensure you get to every class on time and in style.

Wednesday

My love for a denim jacket will always remain the same. It’s probably the most versatile piece piece anyone can ever own and it will NEVER go out of style. It is definitely an investment to spend a little more on a good quality jean jacket because I promise you it will last through many seasons to come. I’m sure at least once a week you will be grabbing for that denim jacket to throw on and head on to class. Here we have the denim jacket with a classic tee and a circle skirt to add some feminine attitude to the outfit. If it does get a little chilly outside, a way to keep your legs warm is to add some knee high socks and pair it with a combat boot. Add a scarf to this outfit to add some colour and depth. It creates a effortless classy look that will keep you warm from class to class.

Thursday

This is my definition of the easiest, most comfortable look ever. A oversize draped cardigan with some leather pants. You may think that leather pants will probably be the most uncomfortable thing to ever wear. I dare to change your thoughts on that because they are honestly the most comfortable pants you will ever own. It has the same effect as leggings but with a edgier look to it. Just pop on those pants, a cardigan and a fun summer inspired scarf to brighten up the look and you are ready to conquer the day at school!

Friday

It’s finally the last day of the week and you want to end off with a bang. Why not throw on a pair of flat boots with some distressed skinny jeans, classic stripes, and a casual jacket? Here we paired the boots and denim with a blush toned jacket to lighten up the look and transition the look from Summer to Fall. I added a striped dolman shirt to give some dimension and interest to the look and of course to add layers. Throw on your favourite sunglasses and you are ready to finish Friday off for the weekend.

For any fall outfit, the best way to add some texture or colour to your outfits is to add some fun accessories like patterned scarves or sunglasses. I hope I was able to help you out with different back to school ideas and remember not to be afraid to try different things with your outfits. Happy reading everyone and good luck for the upcoming school year!
