How cool is this packaging?!

Unlike most “long wearing” lipsticks - Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick is really hydrating, I wore it all day today and it actually kept my lips moisturized for over ten hours straight. It felt like I was wearing lip balm – it was that comfortable on my lips. After sipping on my morning latte I didn’t even feel compelled to re-apply. Although it left a nice stain on my lips post-lunch, I decided to re-apply this time to regain the richness but there’s no denying that the pigment’s staying power is kind of amazing.

The formula is very creamy and intensely opaque – it applies on your lips like butter and the colour does not bleed so you can totally rock this with or without a lip liner. The best part is that the colour range of this collection is huge! From “my-lips-but-better” neutrals to bold and vampy, anyone can easily pick out an instant favourite! I can honestly say that there is a shade for everyone in the entire Revolution Lipstick collection.

In this post, I reviewed “Venom” - at first sight I was intimidated but just like a dress that looks outrageous on the rack, it tells a different story on you. Needless to say, I love the bright plum shade that “Venom” offers – it’s definitely my bold lipstick of choice this fall. On me it wasn’t exactly vampy, but it’s a more demure version of the fun, fuchsia lip in the summer. It has a satin finish with very subtle, barely-there violet shimmer, plus it has a lip plumping effect for a more pillowy pout.

Would I recommend this lipstick to a friend?! YES!! duh! Check out all the 22 shades and I bet you’ll find one that you’ll love!
