If you live on the East Coast, it is highly likely that you will grow a positively overwhelming need to obsess over the yearly anticipation of the warm summer. To add to that, Toronto is that type of a Metropolitan City, which acts as a cultural hub to a variety of artists, musicians and homegrown designers; once warmed-up, the city opens its neighborhoods and artistic districts to help showcase the talent that never sleeps.

So is the case of the Homegrown Boutique, which in the past couple of years has been making a splash in Tdot’s trendy Yorkville area. A home to some of the best up and coming local designers, Homegrown Boutique has opened its doors to a unique Toronto crowd, which boasts the tendency to put a surprising spin on the high-end street fashion scene. Last Saturday, the boutique’s very own Michelle, hosted one of her pop-up shops in the Arts Cafe at the Gladstone Hotel.
A wonderful intimate venue, made even more fun via a collaboration with Fredrick Prince Jewelry, Dagg and Stacey and most importantly, The Pop Shop – serving the best of the cake pop world. S’mores on a stick, anyone?
