KnowShow Endless Summer Fashion Presentation
This year, the Knowshow Endless Summer presentation blew us out of the water. Instead of a traditional runway, they installed a mini beach (complete with beach balls, lounge chairs, and pin-up girls serving ice cream and popsicles!) and had their models lounge, pose, and socialize in an interactive setting that really elevated the atmosphere of the show. The fun and flirty ambiance was perfect for showcasing summer 2014 swimwear trends. The show closed with all the girls getting together in their final looks, with both Vitamin A showcasing their more demure, sweet, and retro-inspired looks and Roxy channeling all the different looks they debuted for Endless Summer, from digital photo prints to bold patterns. Between all the cute swimwear, the sand between our toes, and our popsicle-stickied fingers, Knowshow definitely has us looking forward to more hot weather and summer fun!
Roxy
Eye-catching patterns and bold colours seemed to be Roxy’s trend of choice for the upcoming season, with flirty polka dots and bold geometric prints being the front-runner looks. Brights and neon made all their prints pop and complimented the Bridget Bardot inspired styling. Roxy also debuted several pieces with digital photo printing, a look that’s been pioneered by Mary Kantrantzou on the couture runways, and popularized by Australian brands Black Milk Clothing and We Are Handsome.
Vitamin A Swimwear
Classic cuts are still going strong at Vitamin A for summer 2014, with high-waisted bottoms, retro one pieces, and cute little cropped rash guards being shown in bright colours, stripes, and an ever-so-seventies white crochet. Another huge look at Vitamin A was the cut out, little slits and triangles cut out here and there brought a whole other level of sex appeal to otherwise standard bikinis. Perfect for the girl who wants to bring a little bit of coquettish flair to the table without stepping too far out of the box.
