OhKuol: Adding to the Mix
H&M Sunglasses; Anthropologie Necklace; Thrifted Shirt (Jones New York), Shorts (l.e.i), Thrifted Clutch, Gemstone Stacking Rings c/o OhKuol, Aldo Midi Rings, Forever 21 Bangles, Kenneth Cole Reaction Shoes
Living in Los Angeles has really been tough for me when it comes to getting dressed and above all being comfortable all day. I’ve had to shed my go-to layered look for pieces that offer a little more breathing room and movement. Simple classics that provide endless combinations and options. The same can be said about my usual jewelry choices. I have an affinity for big statement pieces, and tend to gravitate toward stand out charms and chains that can be layered upon layers. Unless I am sitting in central air all day, by about 1pm I’m wishing I was just in shorts, a tee (or better yet, a swimsuit – poolside) and sans accessories.
Luckily, I have found a good middle ground. Simple chains with dainty charms are my new vice, paired with little rings and easy bangles. They transfer easily from outfit to outfit, and I find that they are much better solution to my jewelry dilemma than not wearing anything at all. These stacking rings from OhKuol, (a Vancouver company that has recently made the switch from a brick-and-mortar boutique to selling exclusively online) are perfect for me, as I have the option to wear them separately, mixing and matching with my other pieces or I can wear them all together if I want to pump up the drama.
How do you stay chic and cool in the warm summer months? Any go-to tips?
